Complete Explanation About SEO and Semantic Search

Search Engine Journal has published another very good article. This time they discuss Semantic Search. The autor says that no mather what crap he has written about LSI, you should understand now that one way or another all search engines are doing semantic analysis and you should be writing all your content semantically flexible.

But what is semantic search you should be asking right now if you haven’t heard the term before. Wikipedia defines it like this:

Semantic search seeks to improve search accuracy by understanding
searcher intent and the contextual meaning of terms as they appear in
the searchable dataspace, whether on the Web or within a closed system,
to generate more relevant results.

I liked a lot all the explanation about synonyms and ‘supporting terms’ and how they say you should build your site using semantics so the search engines will better understand all the concepts on your page and site.

But the best part is the advice on how to put all those concepts to work. The first thing to do is to expand your keyword research to not only target theme and category keywrods but also semantic terms.

On my article about search engine optimization secrets I talk about keyword density and that’s still a thing to take into account when writting your content but just now you should be aware that also have to include semantics on them.

If you are trying to build a site, please go read this article and I am sure you will not waiste your time. http://www.searchenginejournal.com/understanding-semantic-search-and-seo/
